The Pueblos M\u00e1gicos\u00a0designation is awarded to relatively small communities that over time have maintained their traditions, culture, crafts, original a<\/span>rchitecture and\u00a0<\/span>gastronomy<\/span>\u00a0connecting visitors with Mexico’s roots and traditions.\u00a0<\/span>A\u00a0Pueblo M\u00e1gico\u00a0(Magical Town), is a town full of symbolism and legends and many of them have been the scene of relevant events in Mexico’s history.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To receive the designation of a\u00a0Pueblos M\u00e1gico\u00a0by Secretaria de Turismo in Mexico, the towns have to be considered representative of the different cultural,\u00a0<\/span>architectural<\/span>\u00a0and historic stages of the country. Sectur monitors, promotes and rewards the conservation of traditions and Mexican historical cultural heritage through promoting tourism.<\/span><\/p>\n
