Starting November 1st, buy your Sanborn’s policy, collect your stamps at participating agencies along your route, and hand in your card in Rocky Point for a chance to win awesome prizes for the Best and Worst Hands!

How the Mystery Poker Run Works: 5 Cards, 3 Stops, Endless Fun

Participating in the Poker Run is simple, whether you purchase your policy in person, at an agency, or online ahead of time. Every player must build a standard 5-card poker hand across a minimum of 3 stops.

Step 1: Get Your Policy & First Stamps (Nov 1 – Nov 13)

• In-Person Agency Purchases: Stop by any participating Sanborn’s authorized agency in Arizona or California starting November 1st. When you buy your policy, the agent will print your official Poker Run card. You will draw 2 cards on the spot for your first stop, and the agent will stamp your form.
• Online Purchases: Bought your policy online? No problem! Stop by at least 2 participating agency locations along your drive down. You will get  to draw 2 playing cards at your first agency stop, and 1 card at any other stops.

Step 2: Final Stamps at Registration

Bring your proof of purchase and Poker Run card to the Sanborn’s Registration Booth at the Barclin Gas Station in Puerto Peñasco on Thursday or Friday of rally week. You can draw up to 2 more playing cards if needed to complete your hand and our team will stamp your poker card to complete your 5-card hand. (Note: The booth can stamp a maximum of 2 cards per player, so be sure to hit your 2 agency stops along the way!)

Step 3: Turn In & Join the Party

• Turn-In Deadline: All completed forms must be handed in at the Sanborn’s Registration Booth (Barclin Gas Station) by Friday, November 13th at 5:00 PM.
• Winner Announcement: Join us at 7:30 PM on Friday during the traditional Welcome Party at Puesta del Sol Restaurant inside the beachfront Playa Bonita Resort. We’ll be awarding prizes for both the Best Hand and the Worst Hand! (Must be present to win).

All you need is a valid driver’s license, original current motorcycle registration, and your mandatory Sanborn’s insurance policy.

• Border Hours: The Lukeville / Sonoyta border crossing operates 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. Plan your ride so you cross well before 8:00 PM.
• Required Documents: Keep your passport, current motorcycle registration, and printed Sanborn’s policy in an easy-to-reach, waterproof location.
• Zero Tolerance Warning: Mexican federal law strictly prohibits entering Mexico with firearms, weapons, or any type of ammunition (including spent shell casings).
