RV's, Trailers and vehicles transported on them (boats, motorcycles, campers, off-road vehicles, etc.) will be covered only if they are included and described on the policy. Coverage will be valid when the trailer is attached or unattached from the vehicle but units being transported are only covered while in tow unless a separate policy is issued.
The primary vehicle and trailer must be insured for the same risks and the same period of time. Separate policies must be issued if one is to be insured for physical damage/theft coverage and one is to be insured for liability only. You are required to carry full coverage on your vehicle(s) in your home country to be eligible for Physical Damage and Theft coverage. Please contact your agent for assistance.
Separate policies are must be issued if your motorhome is towing another vehicle.
Pickups with Shell
Since shells are attached to the bed of the pickup, they are considered as special equipment permanently attached. This vehicle will be insured including the value of the shell into the value of the pickup. One deductible applies.
A camper is considered a separate unit as it can be removed from the bed of the truck. Sometimes known as a slide-in or cab-over, campers must be listed separately on the policy and insured as a "unit in tow." Please contact your agent for assistance.
